RCB doesn’t have any of these bowlers:

1) Fiery fast bowler to rip through the opponent batsmen (Steyn, Morkel, Malinga, etc)
2) Skillful bowler to bowl in the block-hole (Bravo, Faulkner, Johnson, etc)
3) Crafty Spin bowlers to tie down the batsmen & pick wickets (Narine, Mishra, Ashwin, etc)

Most of the other strong teams in the tournament seem to have at least 1 or 2 types of above bowlers. It is fine if a bowler has an off-day (as it happened to most other teams as well), but to fail in every match, and every bowler getting smacked is a huge worry for us.

However, RCB seem to marginally have one quality in their bowlers. i.e., bowl good length with the new ball, generate some movement and pick wickets which Vinay Kumar, Rampaul, Unadkat are good at. This is what RCB should exploit and pick more & more wickets in the first 6 to 10 overs. This is the only way they can put the opposition under pressure. (They did so in few earlier matches in this season particularly at home but seem to have lost their way a bit)

And definitely fielding should improve, and captaincy (Kohli should calm down and work on strategies like Field placements, Bowling changes, lifting the spirits in difficult situations, etc). We are not that bad bowling side as it seems, and also our fielders can definitely do better. Kohli seems to enjoy only when Gayle goes mad at bowlers, that’s the only time I can see joy in his face, otherwise he will be usually angry at even petty things. Come on the players are not Robots or Gods to act perfectly all the time, they are humans and will make mistakes, you need to take the best out of them (He might have observed all this with Dhoni in the national team of how Dhoni kept his cool at difficult times. I know orange is not equal to apple, its fine to show some aggression but let it not be only that)

Agree 100%. Whats hurting RCB is lack of quality bowlers. In an effort to overcome this weakness from the previous season RCB had picked a lot of bowlers this season. However the bowling is still the major weakness. We are yet to try some of the bowlers despite the bowlers getting thrashed in the previous matches. I think its time to bring in the experienced Zaheer Khan if he is fit or try out Pankaj Singh instead of Syed Mohmmad in the team. Unadkat had bowled well in the previous match and should not be dropped from the team to get RP Singh back. Vinay Kumar and Rampaul needs to watch out the length they are bowling. Thye have been picking wickets but bowling too many length balls which gets hit for bounderies. Murali Karthik is bowling well as he is keeping things tight and not conceding too many runs. I think the match against KKR is a must win for RCB today. With rains in Bangalore there is a possibility that the two home games may get washed out.

Our bowling & fielding is definitely hurting us. If we don’t improve from today’s match onwards we may enter playoff’s but will definitely will get eliminated immediately. Swap Rampaul to Vettori, Moises to Barnwell & Syed to Pankaj. Pls adopt these changes today. Our batting can’t win us every time. That is how we lost our Finals to Chennai. Lets win the cup for RCB & its fans.

Vettori wont play, moises will continue to play, we dont need these many changes. Our current bowling is good, we need luck and consistent death over bowling. Bringing many new bowlers at this stage of the tournament isnt a good idea smile

@RamLakhan: Very well said bro. I really appreciate your words and according to me our bowlers have to keep their nerves in death overs and not to do so many experiments. Just have to maintain the good line as they should pitched the ball on full out side off and side by side the speed variation is the key, have utilize this arms in right time. upcoming three matches will going to be crucial fixture for us to make the place in play offs.
Good luck RCB..
