CFL Bulb Initiative

The CFL bulb initiative of RCB has been launched in Karnataka covering the major cities of Bangalore, Mysore, Mandya, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Mangalore and Shimoga, wherein CFL bulbs are being distributed to the people in these cities. Through this initiative, RCB wants to encourage the public to shift from the energy-guzzling incandescent bulbs to the power-saving CFLs (The average rated life of a CFL is between 8 to 15 times that of incandescent, and their power consumption is only 20-33% that of an incandescent bulb!!) The RCB van will be moving through the cities with the CFLs, and you can pick one up from us. If you want the RCB van to visit your neighbourhood / school / college for distribution, please send us the details at rcbgogreen@nextgenpms.com. RCB has tied up with Havells to be the official vendor of the 15W CFLs that are being distributed. The price for each bulb is Rs.89/- as opposed to the retail price of Rs. 145/-. However, in exchange we would want to take back old incandescent bulbs, to ensure that there is an actual shift to CFL bulbs.Buying a CFL also gives you the opportunity to win exciting RCB goodies!!                    So come along and let us dot our city bright with fluorescent lights….!RCB is Game for Green, Are you?

In my old house, I used to use incandescent bulbs. But after shifting to my new home, I have switched to CFLs.
I have also achieved success in replacing all the incandescent bulbs in the corridor with CFLs.
