No Traffic Fuss when we take the BUS

Bus Day is celebrated on 4th of every month. The Bus day was started by Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) on 4th February, 2010. The idea is to take the Bus on that day and see the difference it will make to traffic congestion and air quality. Vehicle speeds and emissions will be monitored on the corridors to quantify the difference in order to further encourage people to travel by public transport. The campaign is meant to create awareness interactively through an electronic survey and by just taking the Bus! With public and Government support it has succeeded to a great extent improving the mobility and quality of air and thereby quality of life itself in our megacity.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the main greenhouse gases that cause climate change. Every tonne we avoid emitting into the atmosphere helps reduce the risk of climate change. The amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere as a result of your daily activities is called your carbon footprint. Bus Travel is much more environmentally friendly than driving because it produces less carbon dioxide emissions per passenger kilometer. RCB kick started its IPL IV with the Bus Day Event!!!! And this time also with CL T20, RCB is going to plunge into taking initiates for using public transport. Being a RCB fan, let’s all come together and show that we care for Bangalore. Tomorrow is a BUS DAY, so, if you have not started using this service, start from now and start reducing your carbon footprinting. Share with us your experience of travelling in a BUS as comment to this post.   royal challengers
