The
word all around the city is RCB! After so many months of wait it’s the IPL
season and the first RCB match, that too in Bangalore. Enjoy the match to the
fullest, the green way.

In Bangalore, people leave their homes in the mornings to reach the stadium for
a match at 4:00pm; the easiest solution to this is taking the bus. As a part of
their green initiative, the RCB has once again approached the BMTC for special
bus service and they have kindly obliged. They have arranged for 30 buses in
total, across 12 corridors, including Kadugodi, Electronic city, Yelahanka,
Kengeri and other distant places from the stadium, approx 2-3 to each route
post 11:00pm exclusively for the after match travel at a very minimal cost of
rupees 20.
For those of you, who come from far off places, can save yourselves
a lot of fuel and the tedious traffic outside the stadium in the middle of the
night.

As a green measure, RCB manages all the waste generated by its segregation and
recycling. How you can do your bit is by dropping all the waste in the bins
provided at the stadium.
We would actually love it if all of you watched the match at the stadium, but
for those of you who can’t make it, form groups and watch it to save energy,
and it is always a lot more fun when a huge group cheer together for your
favorite RCB team.

Sport the green ribbon! The team will be wearing them on all matches as a
symbol of their commitment toward going green, you can too and it is
undoubtedly really cool as well. This IPL definitely brings in a lot of fun and
quality cricket, the environment friendly manner. RCB is up for playing it the
green way, ARE YOU?

Don’t forget to send us your experience on how you went green with RCB on rcbgogreen@nextgenpms.com.

Last Saturday of the month of March is here. This time
falling on 31st of March Namma Bengaluru will be one of the cities
in 135 countries supporting Earth Hour campaign and asking people to TURN
OFF!!!
Started in 2007, in Sydeney, Australlia where 2.2 million
and more than 2000 businesses turned off their lights to support and take stand
against climate change.
Earth hour by its next year gained a global phenomenon and
by last year it reached out to 135 countries and got support from billion plus
people.
The beauty about this event is that it puts the individual
in perspective. It speaks out loud that even an individual action can make a
difference in reducing Global Warming. Many of us underestimate the power of
one, and think that just one persons contribution is not enough. Earth Hour
shows that small actions collectively taken can result in
a big change in favour of our environment.
So RCBiaaannnss….lets stand up and SWITCH OFF……Be the part
of the change.
Lets start the IPL challenge with the Green Horn…..See you
at the stadium on 7th cheering our favorite Mantra……RRRRCCCCCBBBBB
RRRRRCCCCCBBBB !!!
