http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiwQ8uhOkXE After a long hiatus, green is back in action. The simmering heat (everywhere except our Bengaluru?) is one of the many proofs of global warming, and we all wish that if someone can somehow reduce some amount of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and help reduce the temperature to pleasant, as it was in those good old days! The search for that someone starts and ends with you, infact everyone of us is that someone and it is time to take action now. And RCB is Game for Green! The Green Initiatives of RCB was a first for any sporting event in the history of India; it was also a first for any cricket match in the history of the game. With so many firsts attached, who else but RCB is expected to be involved and lead the way! We will soon be sharing with you the green initiatives taken during IPL and the impact they had. Interestingly our metric for measuring impact was dual-environmental impact reduction and also fan engagement. Infact the second factor was as important as the first if not more, as you know RCB always believes in the philosophy of for the fans, by the fans and of the fans. One of our most interesting initiatives in which we had the most fun was the RCB Bus. Though we had it only for 2 matches, it was great to be with all RCB fans together, singing, dancing, waving RCB flags and at the same time reducing the carbon footprint. You can catch a few glimpses of the fun we had while reducing our environmental impact in the video. Special thanks to our brilliant Videographer Vivek for the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiwQ8uhOkXE We will soon get back to you on the IPL-3 initiatives, some small little things that you can do to lead a green life and lots of other interesting stuff to save our planet. RCB is Game for Green, Are You?
