I have planted about 10 trees besides my house and it's about 15 yrs old. Also recently our colony members joined together and planted about 30 saplings on both sides of the road.

The tree planting initiative of RCB has been launched in Karnataka covering the major cities of Bangalore, Mysore, Mandya, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Mangalore and Shimoga, wherein tree saplings are being distributed to the people in these cities. Through this initiative, RCB aims to sensitize the public on environment protection, and the need to plant more trees for the beauty and health of the city (Bangalore is closing in on becoming a virtual oven in summer…!) The RCB van carrying the tree saplings will pass through these cities for distribution. You can pick up a tree sapling from us and plant it in your homes or on the roadsides (maybe you can do a special Sunday planting session with your neighbours!!) The saplings have been procured from nurseries, and they are being charged at the nursery’s quoted price only; between Rs8/- to Rs10/- per sapling. If you want the RCB van to visit your neighbourhood / school / college for distribution, please send us the details at rcbgogreen@nextgenpms.com.Buying a sapling also gives you the opportunity to win exciting RCB goodies!!
