The RCB's Go Green initiative is a small step towards addressing the issue of global warming and reducing its impact on our environment. We intend to reduce our carbon foot-print & hence have started various initiatives. What we want is your active support and cooperation.

Don’t create too many parks.Because lawns are “GREEN DESERTS”.Simply grow plenty of trees and save double of them by not cutting trees.

Watching a match in Chinnaswamy has always been a lot of fun! It gets bigger and better when RCB is playing! RCB fans are known to be the most enthued and fun loving people amongst all IPL fans and the atmosphere at Chinnaswamy is electrifying.
However many don’t know that RCB fans are also the most responsible amongst all IPL fans. And one evident proof of this is the primary waste segregation that happens at source at Chinnaswamy stadium. As a part of our green initiatives we had taken up environment friendly waste disposal as one of our major thrust areas. We had put standardized dustbins across food stalls in the stadium. The blue dustbins are for dry waste like paper, plastic, glass etc. which can be recycled. The green dustbins are for wet food waste which is composted.
As a matter of fact we have increased the number of dustbins in Chinnaswamy stadium from the usual 75 to a whopping 300, a 400% increase. We have tried our best to have these dustbins in strategic locations across the stadium. And guess what, the system is working! Our waste segregation stalls which do the secondary sorting has been progressively getting better segregated waste over the matches.
This is still the beginning and there is still a lot of waste not getting segregated and there is always scope for improvement. However one thing is for sure , if the systems are in place, then things happen and people respond. RCB fans are responsible citizens and slowly turning into green enthusiasts. With systems in place and intent to create change, we can make the world a greener place to live in.
RCB is Game for Green, Are You?
