The first phase was very good for RCB..it was a complete team effort..brilliant captaincy..and excellent fielding..along with bowling and batting at its best!!! kallis, uthhappa(batting),vinay kumar,kuble(bowling), Kohli, Dravid(fieldigg) played the key role in first phase... the strategy to keep wickets while chasing and then suddenly go bang bang..proved very effective..but somtimes (like against DD and CSK) batting suddenly collapsed due to pressure generated by slower run rate... in one or two matches..bowling was not up to the mark in last 5 overs..specially against DD... again... use of powerplay..not to the fullest..you have to score 55 runs in poweplay to get command on innigs!!! some key points- 1.consistency of kallis 2.excellent and superfast innigs by Uthappa(lifting run rate suddenly) 3.very tight and good fielding 4.kumble, vinay kumar boling good. 5. few cameos by dravid, kohli, Pietersen when mattered. 6. very balanced team.. deep batting lineup and bowling attack. some drawbacks 1.kallis initially tool too much time to strike...but then scored very fast so in first phase that didnt harm much to team!!! 2. bit of loose bowling in last 5 overs.. some inexperienced bowling..except kumble 3. no part time bowlers...so no bonus advantages... 4. apart from his hat-trick p kumar didnt prove musch to expectations 5.sudden collapse under pressure(due to slow initial run rate)
