PHASE 1 : rakesh katti 's review for rc's performance
1st Phase: Matches : 7 Won : 4 Lost : 3 Wining streak : 4 Losing streak : 2 Before we started this season RCB had 3 major advantages. 1) Kumble was a fixed leader for the entire tournament, unlike the uncertainty that surrounded last year. 2) The local boys Manish, Mithun, Goswami and Vinay Kumar had excelled in their domestic tournaments and were in form. 3) RCB had great confidence to enter the tournament as they had given a successful climax for the last year's league. Highlights of 1st phase: In our favor: * 4 straight wins against KXI, RR, and the finalists (MI and CSK) * Our top order was in great form. * Kallis finished most of the matches. * 204 run chase against KXI. * 92 run bowl out of RR. * Every batsman struggled to face our mighty JUMBO. Not in our favor * Lower middle order wasn't tested. * Our 6 overs of powerplay wasn't utilized well. * Few of our bowlers were not at their best. PK and VK were very expensive in some matches. Dramatic Performances. * Kumble 3/9 against RR. * Robin 50 from 21 against KXI. * Robin 68 from 38 against CSK with fabulous switch hits. * Kallis 89 from 55 against KXI. * Opening partnership of 93 runs against RR from Pandey and Kallis. * Kallis was leading in most of the stats like Most number of runs, Most number of 50's, Most number of man of the matches, Highest average, Number of Not outs etc. Each match in brief. The first match vs KKR: It was a disappointment for RCB, the things din't go in our favor. The opening pair of Goswami and Kallis dint shine. The best thing was Kallis had started to be a contender in the ORANGE CAP STANDINGS in the first match itself. He scored 65 of 52 while others on non strikers end went back to dug out. The second match vs KXIP: It was a great come back for RCB. One of the greatest chase in t20 game. We chased down the target of 204 with more confidence. Kallis's 89 of 55 balls and the blazing 50 by Robin in 21 balls made the team and fans a great confidence for looking for a great league. The third match vs RR: The headlines goes like this: THE DOMINANT RCB CRUSH RR. In the last match our batting crew had crushed the KXIP. Now it was bowlers who showed the same home crowd their power and skill with the ball. RR were bowled out for just 92 runs with Jumbo's excellent 3/9 spell. The opening pair Pandey and Kallis scored this small target in mere 10.4 overs. The fourth match vs MI: A crucial one, RCB vs the unbeaten MI, 1st and 2nd rank clash, Vinay and Steyn picks 3 wickets each and restricts MI for 151. And remember Kallis is still not got out even once yet. He scores a 66 even here and now we top the table. The fifth match vs CSK: As the opening pair comes out. The only aim of the opposite team was to fill the dash(-) in Kallis's average box. The orange cap holder couldn't lead this time. The dashing Uthappa scored 68 of just 38 deliveries, he had tried his switch couple of times in this match. But his last few overs knock won us the match. Vinay Kumar picked up 4 but was too expensive. But RCB are unstoppable now after 4 in a row. The sixth match vs DD: Had lot of expectations and the country had come to know RCB are really strong one to beat. DD had lost three games before they came into this match. But they defeated our mighty RCB. No one could fire on this bad day. All batsmen returned back except a small contribution by our young guns Kohli(38) and Pandey(39). The seventh match vs CSK: The biggest news in the city was KEVIN and TAYLOR are back in to the team. Kevin played instead of morgan, Ross had to warm the benches. This was one more bad day in our journey. Kallis made 52 of 49. The target that was set by our team was considerable because of our 3 quick guns. ROBIN, KEVIN and WHITE. But Vijay blasted our bowlers and gave CSK a vital victory. Thank You :) Do comment on it. Either for or against this review. ;)
Nice one Rakesh....

Nice Presentation.. Well.. I don't think it was Kallis who finished most of the matches.. U can see the match against KXI. Though Kallis played well.. Without Uthappa's 50 in 21 balls we couldn have won it.. So I think ROBIN was the finisher in most of the matches.

PHASE 3 : rakesh katti 's review for rc's performance
Phase: 3 Matches Played: 2 Won: 1 Lost: 1 Well this is the important phase of all three as RCB had 2 important matches. Loose or win they had to play two matches. Choosing the second match was in our hands. Either the GRAND FINALE or THE THIRD PLACE PLAY OFF (Champions league berth). RCB vs MI Pre Semis BUZZ: * Uthappa was in form of his life. He could have finished off the things. * Pollard was in the same form as Uthappa. * The Young guns of MI like Tiwary and Rayudu had shown that even they are capable. * Both teams had lost their last match. > RCB had lost against MI. > MI had lost against KKR. Head to Head Matches played : 6 RCB : 3 MI : 3 Matches played at Bangalore : 2 RCB : 0 MI : 2 Matches played at Mumbai :2 RCB : 2 MI : 0 Neutral venue : 2 RCB : 1 MI : 1 The venue was Mumbai. Mumbai had home advantage, but according to the above stats they had lost all matches played at mumbai against RCB. So literally both had a positive note to go for the big game. Yes it was Kumble vs Sachin The Jumbo vs Master Mallya vs Ambani The clash of the giants. Both teams were well built and very strong one to beat on paper. But only one team had to win. Match Well we had a good start, The master went out soon. But the young guns of MI Nayar, Rayudu, Tiwary and the blasting Pollard made them reach a mammoth target of 184. Everything changed in the last five overs of the Mumbai Indians' innings. The game was in a deadlock at the end of 15 overs with Mumbai on 107 for 4 - some might have even felt that Royal Challengers Bangalore held the edge - but things took a dramatic turn from there on. Tiwary hit an enterprising half-century and Kieron Pollard played a delightful innings of 33 from 13. We had many chances in the game. Uthappa was in hot form, collecting 18 runs from Harbhajan's over with the help of two thumping sixes, but he dragged a slower one from Pollard straight to deep midwicket. Before Bangalore could recover from that blow, they lost Dravid, who had played a good knock, to a run-out resulting from a misunderstanding with Ross Taylor. Rossy stayed till the end. But he couldn't pick up any of the balls rather you have to say any of the yorkers to send them out of the park. Reason for the loose: We had to blame our bowlers for this day. Everyone had a bad spell except 4 overs of KP with 20 runs. Jumbo who had maintained his supremacy in first three overs gave away 17 runs of the 17th over. Before this over even Kallis had leaked 17 runs in 16th over. One more reason was we had depended more on Uthappa. Others thought Uthappa could cover our balls and wasted many easy balls. But at the end of the day. Our bowlers couldn't match the MI bowlers like Malinga, Zaheer and Bhajji on that day. Yes we lost it.. Man go get a kingfisher, I really wanna cry. :( My RCB is out of the league. Oh ####! Mom came in.. I said my friend: Its ok. Keep it inside. We can party with it when RCB wins the last match of the league.. (Just Kidding) Post semis GAANA: RCB received nothing but critics from their fans. Yeah when they are winning everything will be fine. But when they start loosing every fan turns into a journalist and starts speaking about them :D There were incidents of people speaking about match fixing. But I really think they are fools. I wonder how can such things happen in such a high profiled game. And yeah you can notice such words coming out only when their team looses. Untill then everything will be well and good. X-( K the match is over and we had to play our 3rd place play off match. RCB had to win this atleast to enter champions league, atleast to make their fans happy. Again this was in the same D.Y. PATIL Stadium. I really was pissed of seeing this stadium. Not just because of more matches played there, because of the semis held their for which I had the TICKETS purchased already. RCB vs DC: Pre Match BUZZ: * Both teams had to win this if they wished to enter the champions league. Both the teams were the finalists of last IPL and it would be a great thing to mention that the winning tem of this match will be the first team from IPL to play 2 champions league seasons. * Deccan had won 5 out of 6 matches, But on the other hand RCB had made tactical blunders by playing around with the spot of Manish Pandey who was in great form. Head to Head Matches Played : 6 RCB : 2 DC : 2 Matches Played at Mumbai : RCB : 2 Won : 2 DC : 5 Won : 1 DC had won against RCB last three times they had met us. This was their positive point. And DC had lost all 4 matches they have played at Mumbai including the opening match and semis. This was our positive note. MATCH : Well it was completely a one sided game. If like seeing wickets falling, and you had enjoyed RR getting bowled out for 92 in the league matches. Then here's a retreat for you. DC were allout for just 82 runs. Going through their score board I only found 2 players with double digit runs. And Jumbo did strike this time to recover from his last match mistakes. He took 4 wickets. His spell read like this 3.3 overs. 16 runs. 4 wickets. This match also gave chance to a new spinner Nayan Doshi, son of famous Bowler Dilip Doshi. I did feel why din't kumble bring in NAYAN or APPANNA in other matches. I expected RCB to finish it off within 10 overs after seeing the strike of opening batsmen (For a change it was DRAVID and KALLIS) And finally KP had to finish it off in the 14th over with his six. Yes we had finished IPL-3 in great style. Post match BUZZ: Party Party Party was the slogan for that day. Yes not just for us fans, even players had to go with this slogan. Because this was the Last IPL night party for them in this year. Stats that make us smile and be proud K lets recall few stat leaders from RCB who led the stats from beginning to end of the tournament. We have to start with Sixappa, sorry Uthappa. Robin leads the HIGHEST SIXES TABLE with 27 sixes. And also ROBIN leads in FASTEST FIFTY TABLE not just one spot but twice. 50 from 21 balls and 50 from 22 balls. Kallis leads the MOST NUMBER OF HALF CENTURIES TABLE with 6 half centuries. Kallis was in second place of MOST RUNS TABLE with 572 runs. Only six bowlers have taken 4 wickets in a match. And it includes 2 RCBians JUMBO and VINAY. JUMBO was third in MOST ECONOMICAL BOWLER TABLE. BEST CHASING VICTORY was from RCB against KXI. BIGGEST VICTORY BY WICKETS was RCB against RR in which we won by 10 wickets. BIGGEST VICTORY BY THE NUMER OF BALLS LEFT was RCB against RR in which we won with 56 balls remaining. Uff!! if I keep speaking about RCB, I will need to write a big book like wide angle. Anyways it was a great but a little disappointing journey at the end. But they have really made their fans proud by coming to semis. And we have proved them that we are the best fans in the world. (p.s for judge: I couldn't write for second because of misconception that last date being 13th) RCB, GAME FOR LIFE.
