Fast, exciting and young – Mitchell Starc is a promising left-arm fast bowler who represents the typical nature of Australian fast bowling! The lanky pacer has plenty of pace and bounce to offer, and possesses that extra ability of bringing the ball into the right-hander, which makes him a special talent.
Starc's progress in a relatively young international career has been impressive to say the least. In his first 17 One Day Internationals, the Aussie claimed three five-wicket hauls. Not only does he have immense bowling potential, but also reasonably good batting skills for a tail-ender. In the 2009-10 Sheffield Shield season, Starc picked up 21 wickets and also registered a half-century.
Having already participated in the Big Bash League earlier this year, Starc has developed into a powerful wicket-taking option. At RCB, opportunities are abundant for the talented youngster, who will be looking to make the most of his maiden IPL stint.
