Red & gold sparks ignite all over India – and the world
Royal Challengers Buzz
While the other IPL teams slumbered on during the Airtel Champions League T20, something stirred within the RCB Fans. It wasn’t just the Fanatic Fans Challenge that allowed three lucky – and deserving – fans to tour ACLT20 with the team. It wasn’t just Jacques Kallis' brilliant 73 not out and three wickets against the Otago Volts that sent an electric bolt through the fans.
Nor was it Ross Taylor’s constant tirade of 6s and 4s against the Delhi Daredevils combined with Anil Kumble’s 3 wickets – though all that certainly helped!
No, it was a deeper need amongst the fans. A passion to support their team through thick and thin.
It was that very fanaticism that motivated the fans to keep talking about their heroes in the RCB Fan Club and on their Facebook statuses.
The fraternity amongst the fans blossomed online through the blogs, chats and discussions. The fandom translated offline too as fans met up in Mumbai and Bangalore to talk about cricket and RCB, and as fans in other places (Chennai, Mysore, Hyderabad – even Bahrain!) plan their meet ups.
The common thread? Their passion for RCB. Their desire to build the fan base so that when IPL3 comes around, no RCB fan will be left watching the matches alone. Oh no. Wherever you are, you’ll have another RCB fan with you in person – and the entire fan base with you in spirit – and online.
FAN OF THE MONTH
Introducing the RCB Fan of the Month – a title awarded to a fan who stands out amongst the club. This month’s fan is 16 year old Prabhat Hegde or ‘Batty.’ Prabhat sent us a wonderful write up on RCB, has been actively pursuing discussions about the IPL transfers on the Facebook Page and in the discussion forums, and is helping out with the RCB Friday Trivia. He’s shown a zeal to be more involved, and we’ve noticed.
Prabhat, expect an RCB jersey in the mail – a small token of our appreciation.

Ray Jennings’ Spectacular Catches - Must watch video
by Chief Fanatic Fan SivaAN

Fans, couple of weeks back I had written an article on our coach titled Our "Ray of hope". In the article I had mentioned about Ray's wicket keeping skills. I have heard that he has taken some spectacular catches. I sent him an email asking him to send some of his catches so that I can share with the fans. Being the gentleman he is, he in fact obliged with a 7 minute video of his spectacular catches prepared by the man himself. Some of them are just breath-taking. So just sit back and enjoy. Please share your comments and I will pass it on to Ray.

This is an RCB exclusive :)
