Akhil sets up Karnataka's win over AP in domestic T20
Royal Challengers Balachandra Akhil picked two aided by a single strike by Abhimanyu Mithun to help Karnataka pick full points against Andhra Pradesh in the domestic south zone T20 tournament for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Batting first, Andhra could muster only 143 against some tight bowling by Karnataka led by veteran Challenger Sunil Joshi. Akhil gave away 23 runs in his 2-wicket haul while Mithun was more expensive, bleeding 31 runs for his single wicket.
Set to chase 144, Karnataka won the match with 8 balls to spare, scoring 145/4. Mayank Agarwal (57) and Ganesh Satish (52) did the bulk of the scoring while Manish Pandey (4) and Robin Uthappa (14) weren't successful with the willow.
