It was a busy day at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday.
And Rahul Dravid was busier!
As soon as the Indian batting legend arrived at the ground, the Wall padded up to have a a go at the middle. Bowlers used their full run up to fire in the fast ones to Dravid and he was seen whacking them with the willow. Some of the whites were seen flying towards the stands where dozens of fans were scampering home to take cover. After a brief recess, Dravid again padded up to have another stint at the nets along with the others. This time, strokes all along the ground flowed from his bat. He is surely a master craftsman with the willow.
Mithun, Vinay kumar, Manish Pandey, Sreevats Goswami, Robin Uthappa, Eoin Morgan, Dillion Du Preez, Anil Kumble - all joined the extended practice session today which went on till eight in the evening.
Roelof Van Der Merwe, who just landed today, came to the stadium for a while to try out the new formal attire of the Royal Challengers.
The evening was also made memorable with the sudden visit of the legendary Sir Garfield Sobers in the ground along with former Indian greats Dilip Doshi and Gundappa Viswanath.
