Cheteshwar Pujara to represent Saurashtra in CK Nayudu Trophy
Cheteshwar Pujara will play for Saurashtra U-25s in the team’s CK Nayudu Trophy opener.
Pujara will use the 4 day game beginning on Friday, October 19th against Vidarbha at the Rajkot Municipal ground as an opportunity to warm up for the longer formats ahead of England’s tour of India.
India’s Test series against England begins on November 15th at Ahmedabad. As India’s new no.3 in Tests, Pujara will be expected to contribute heavily in the team’s quest to avenge the 4-0 whitewash they suffered on their 2011 tour of England.
