Chris Gayle Misses Season Opener Due To Injury

Chris Gayle Misses Season Opener Due To Injury

RCB played their first match of the season against DD at Sharjah last night and won it quite convincingly by 8 wickets. However, the talking point just after the toss was the exclusion of Chris Gayle from the playing XI for RCB.

Chris Gayle missed out on the match due to a small back injury he suffered during the practice sessions. He is expected to be back for their next match against MI on Saturday at Dubai.

Chris Gayle is a dynamic power hitter from the West Indies who has scripted many a wins for the RCB camp. He won the Orange Cap in 2011 and 2012 for being the top scorer and was retained by RCB for the 7th season of the IPL too.

RCB won the first match against DD with ease, as a good bowling performance and heroics with the bat by Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli ensured that all went well.
