Chris Gayle, Usain Bolt to participate in football tourney
Chris Gayle will play football for the Masters & Celebrities side in the Bell – Ziadie Memorial Football Festival in Jamaica on Monday.
Gayle’s compatriot and the world’s fastest runner Usain Bolt will lead the Usain Bolt Invitational XI, one of four sides to participate in the tournament along with Gayle’s Masters & Celebrities, Sponsors & Promoters and finally, the St George’s College Invitational.
The event will see a number of West Indian legends including Courtney Walsh who will lead the Sponsors & Promoters, Stafanie Taylor who recently won ICC’s ODI Woman Cricketer of the Year 2012 and Wavell Hinds, both of whom will play in Gayle’s team.
Proceeds from the charity event go to Malvern Basic School.
