CSK blows out in the Superover
Chennai Super Kings lost a close battle against Victoria Bushrangers in a nailbiting finish. The match between them went to the Super Over - a first in the ongoing Airtel CLT20 championship. Chasing a modest total of 162 set by CSK, Victoria was cruising at one stage with skipper David Hussey going strong. But the in the 19th over, Hussey's departure sank his team. Suresh Raina, bowling the final over of the match, took 2 wickets with the last man getting run-out. His heroics restricted VB to 162, forcing the match to be extended to the Super Over. VB outplayed CSK in the superover as they hammered for 24 runs while CSK could manage only 13 in reply. The win helped VB to stay afloat in the tournament.
In another match, Warriors walloped past Central Stags rather easily in a one-sided affair. Put into bat the Stags put on a commendable 173 on board. But the Warriors easily went past the target riding on a superb 147 run opening wicket partnership between Davey Jacobs and Ashwell Prince.
