Daniel Vettori in NZ T20 Squad
Daniel Vettori made a return to the New Zealand T20 Squad for the T20I series against India and the 2012 ICC World Twenty20.
Vettori had retired from limited overs internationals post the 2011 Cricket World Cup. He limited himself to Tests in the international circuit but continued playing T20, leading RCB in the IPL and CLT20, playing in the Big Bash League in Australia and the HRV Cup in New Zealand.
In June however, he announced his decision to return to just T20 Internationals, making himself available for selection for NZ’s Twenty20 World Cup squad.
A groin injury sustained in the first Test against West Indies at Antigua in July ruled him out of Test leg of New Zealand’s tour of India later this month but he will be fit in time for the T20I leg and will participate in the two T20Is in India.
