Daniel Vettori ready to play in 2012 World Twenty20
Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper and New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori has come out of his T20I retirement to make himself available for selection for the World Twenty20 later this year in Sri Lanka.
Vettori had retired from all limited overs internationals after the 50 over World Cup in 2011 but continued to play T20 for Northern Districts in the HRV Cup. He also turned out to lead RCB in the 2012 IPL.
He is 7th on the list of all time wicket takers in T20Is and third among spinners on the list. The spin friendly surfaces of Sri Lanka will be a big boost for Vettori, one of the craftiest spinners in International Cricket. His experience and skill will in turn be a big boost for New Zealand who are very dangerous in the shortest format of the game.
