Dilshan fails to pep up the Lankans
Two catches and an useful 41. But that was not enough to stop Pakistan. Tilakratne Dilshan got off to a good start but failed to capitalise on it when his team Sri Lanka needed the most when the faced Pakistan in the world cup, losing the match by 11 runs. Dilshan bowled only one over while Pakistan batted but gave away 10 runs to be promptly replaced. It was simply not the day of the Lankans, even playing at home. His opening wicket partnership along with Tharanga yielded 76 runs, but it couldn't save Lanka as a middle order collapse from 76 for no loss to 96/4 broke Lanka's backbone while chasing Pakistan's impressive 277. Lets just say, it wasn't his day, or for that matter, any of the Lankans'.
