Dilshan show takes Basnahira to big win
An allround show from Tillakaratne Dilshan gave his team the Basnahira Cricket Dundees a 34 run win over the Kandurata Warriors at Colombo on Saturday night.
BCD made a poor start to the rain hit, 13 overs-a-side match when they lost opener Dwayne Smith for a duck in the first over. Dilshan took over, hitting 66* off 39 balls with seven fours and three sixes to take his side to 129/3 in 13 overs.
He was back in action as his team defended the total, removing the Warriors openers, stumping Thilan Samaraweera (24) and bowling Kithuruwan Vithanage (7) in the 5th over of the chase. He also took the catch to dismiss Misbah ul Haq (1) and ran out Kosala Kulasekara (7) to stamp his name on the match.
The Kandurata Warriors only managed to reach 95/7 in their 13 overs, giving the Basnahira Cricket Dundees a 34 run win and Tillakaratne Dilshan a well deserved Man of the Match trophy.
