Dirk Nannes tears through Titans
Royal Challengers Bangalore speedster Dirk Nannes took 3 wickets for his side the Highveld Lions in their 7 wicket win against the Nashua Titans in their MiWAY T20 Challenge match at the SuperSport Park in Centurion on Friday.
Opener Henry David and no. 3 Heino Kuhn were Nannes's two strikes in his first two overs. Chris Morris and Dwaine Pretorius rattled the Titans further with Ethan O’Reilly joining in later. The regular fall of wicket arrested the progress of the Titans innings.
Nannes removed the obstinate CJ de Villiers in his second spell, finishing with 3/12 in 3.1 overs and wrapping up the Titans innings for 121.
Quinton de Kock was unbeaten on 72 and with support coming from Jonathan Vandiar at the other end, Lions chased down the target in just 12.3 overs, sealing a 7 wicket win to begin their tournament on a high note.
