Good news: Rahul Dravid has been discharged from the hospital. Bad news: He had quiet a close shave. Unconfirmed reports suggest that had the delivery hit Dravid an inch or two above, it could have been fatal. Doctors at the Square Hospital in Dhaka have done the scan on Dravid’s jaws, and confirmed that Dravid was hit on the zygomatic arch or the cheek bone. Had he been hit a little above, the injury might have been fatal, according to the doctors.

However, that didn’t happen. And AAL IZZ WELL with The Wall now, and he is recovering well. It is also learnt that the Indian team management are making arrangements to send him back to India where he will be treated further.
There is also double jeopardy in the batting front for India. Along with Dravid, Yuvraj Singh is also out of the ongoing second Test, having broken a ligament in his wrist. So now, India is deprived of two specialist batsmen in the ongoing Test.
