Fans in Delhi ecstatic and confident of a win

By Vikram Afzulpurkar

Well, Team RC support is never thin anywhere. Pravin Gupta and Pawan Garg met the Web Crew team in Delhi. On asked about why he supported RCB, Pravin said “Going back some years, I’ve always been a great fan of Srinath and also Kumble. Of course ‘Sri’ missed the era of T20 but anyway Anil’s participation in the first three IPLs kept the flame burning. I just stayed hooked.”

Pawan too is hooked and this is the Delhi-ite’s reason for being an RC loyalist, “I love the way Dr Vijay Mallya comes across. He treats the serious business of ‘business’ so easily and gracefully that one is tempted to become his fan. With this attraction to Dr Mallya, I developed an affinity to the players like Mithun, Anil and others. So am rooted to RCB.”

Both Pawan and Pravin shared their insights on how to leverage the web for the benefits of its fans. “We’d love to hear more about the players and their likes and dislikes. We’ll brave any storm to watch an RC match,” quipped the lads from Delhi. They were both also enthusiastic for supporting the RC home ground infrastructure through the 'I support RCB campaign.'

“It’s great that our franchise takes so much care of all aspects. It’s also a ‘support’ aspect in the sense that fans who cannot ‘show’ their support to RCB at the stadium because of distance or cost constraints can contribute by the website.”

Pravin elaborated that improving basic infrastructure at the stadium is a great idea, as people put in a lot of emotion when they watch a match and leave aside personal work. On the match between the Royal Challengers and the Delhi Daredevil’s Pravin felt the balance was firmly in favour of RC because the batting is looking very strong.”

Pawan too felt the punters would back RCB. “The Warner-Sehwag pair is the one to be removed. I think Vettori might just take Warner’s wicket today. As for Sehwag, after cracking two or three fours, he may go soon if the trap is well laid out.”

With such backing, the RCB players it appears would neutralize any away ground threat from the Delhi Daredevils. ‘Chalo Kotla’ will be the theme!

We implore Team RC fans to click (homepage) for the ‘I support RCB’ campaign. It costs the fans nothing. Every click will however earn the franchise 1 rupee that will go towards improving infrastructure at the M Chinnaswamy stadium
