Match called off due to rain

A persistent drizzle in Bangalore forced the match between Team Royal Challengers and Rajasthan Royals to be called off. Both the teams are now awarded a point each.

The thundering clouds gathered over Bangalore from the afternoon itself but Chinnaswamy Stadium was nearly full expecting the game to begin. But hours before the start, it rained and continued late to dismiss any chance of the game to start. Though the showers tapered off after a while, the wet outfield posed problems as it couldn't be dried in time for the game to start. Eventually, the umpires had to call off the game at around 10.55 PM.
