Harshal chips in to put Haryana on top
Harshal Patel contributed with both the bat and the ball as Haryana put themselves in a strong position against Delhi in their Ranji fixture at Rohtak on Monday.
Batting at no. 10, Patel scored a brisk 39* (49b, 4x4, 6x1) on Sunday to help his team reach a decent total of 307 in their first innings. He then took two quick wickets as Delhi closed the day on 165/6.
Patel added a third wicket to his tally on Monday, finishing with 3/55 as Delhi were bowled out for 224, giving Haryana a crucial first innings lead of 83 runs.
Haryana were 167/6 at Stumps on Day 3, their lead at a healthy 250 going into the last day of the game being played at the Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Rohtak.
