ICC Rankings: Virat Kohli becomes No.1 ODI batsman
Indian batting sensation Virat Kohli has topped the batting charts in ICC’s latest ODI rankings for batsmen, after India recorded a significant 3-2 series win against Australia on Saturday.
Kohli, who scored two hundreds in the recently concluded one-day series against Australia, has collected 857 ranking points, ahead of South Africa batsman Hashim Amla. The youngster has 17 centuries to his name in 119 ODI innings, the most by any Indian batsman in the current side. Kohli also smashed his way to the fastest century by an Indian in ODIs with a 52-ball hundred at Nagpur. He is also the leading run-scorer for India in ODIs this year.
