Injuries hit teams at World Cup 2011

Australia's World Cup campaign has been dealt a blow when star batsman Michael Hussey and the lead spinner Nathan Hauritz were ruled out due to injuries. Australia could not even opt for their second choices in respective departments as Shaun Marsh and Xavier Doherty are suffering from too. Callum Ferguson and Jason Krejza will replace Hussey and Hauritz in the 15-man squad. Besides, Australia will also be missing their top bowler Ryan Harris & Clint McKay.

Meanwhile Indian Seamer, Praveen Kumar, underwent a fitness test early on Monday morning at the National Cricket Academy, immediately after returning from England, where he had dashed last week to consult experts on his injured right elbow. As per the sources if the fast bowler fails to recover he could be replaced by Sreesanth or Ishant Sharma.

Meanwhile Praveen Kumar, the India fast bowler, has been ruled out of the World Cup due to an injured elbow and will be replaced by Sreesanth. The other fast bowlers in the Indian squad are Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra and Munaf Patel

Also after the long tour down under the English side is struggling with injury. Eoin Morgan (Fractured middle finger) the latest in the injury list is doubtful for the World cup. The others in the list of injured are Tim Bresnan (calf injury), Graeme Swann (Back strain), Paul Collingwood (Back spasms), Ajmal Shahzad (hamstring injury), Stuart Broad (Tore his abdominal muscle).

On the Positive side, Ricky Ponting of Australia nursing his finger injury has made himself available for the World Cup, also New Zealand's Jacob Oram has been cleared for World Cup despite ankle pain. Also Virendra Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir of India have declared themselves fit and are raring to go.

Well Injuries are part and parcel of the game but many young players will have their dream come true to represent their countries in the Cricket's biggest event at the world stage. As they someone's loss is some one else's gain.

It is good news for Royal Challengers fans as all the players are fit and raring to go. Virat Kohli is currently having a midas touch, and will be looking forward to contribute his bit to Indian Team. On other hand AB De Villiers who had a lean series against India, will look forward to make an impact worth his reputation to help South Africa clinch a maiden WC trophy. Meanwhile Daniel Vettori will look to end his captaincy stint with a major trophy under his belt too. Apart from this the other RCB players who will make a big impact are the likes of Zaheer Khan & Dilshan.

Hope to see a well fought Cricket World Cup 2011 ahead.
