IPL 2013 schedule released
The sixth edition of the Indian Premier League will begin on Wednesday, April 3rd 2013 at Kolkata.
Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will play Delhi Daredevils in the opener of the tournament at the Eden Gardens. Royal Challengers Bangalore will play the second game of the tournament, hosting Mumbai Indians at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium the next day.
The tournament will follow the same format used in 2012 with the top 4 teams at the end of the round robin stage proceeding to the playoffs. Runners up Chennai will host the 1st Qualifier and Eliminator (May 21st and 22nd) while Kolkata will host the 2nd Qualifier and Final (May 24th and 26th).
The Hyderabad Sunrisers will be the new team in the tournament, replacing the Deccan Chargers. Ranchi’s JSCA Stadium has been added as a venue, it will host 2 games as the home team for KKR, including one against RCB. You can check out the complete schedule here.
