Kallis propels SA to victory over Pak

Jacques Kallis' 88 ball 66 paved the way for South Africa to defeat Pakistan by 8 wickets with more than 10 overs to spare in the first match of the ODI series. Pakistan earlier, posted a meager 203 and failed to pose any serious challenge to the strong Proteas batting. Royal Challenger Kallis was in his elements, returning to International cricket after a well taken rest following injury in the T20 Champions League.

Kallis struck five boundaries and one six on his way to 66 but then had to retire hurt when SA was 188/2 and 16 runs away from victory. He had to carried off the ground as his muscles cramped. Earlier, SA's new bowling sensation Lonwabo Tsotsobe picked up 4 wickets to demolish Pakistan to 203, after a second wicket partnership of 114 between Younis Khan and Mohd Hafeez was all set to take Pakistan to a 260 plus score. However, as as been witnessed in recent times, Pakistan batting order just couldn't stitch together a story once the partnership was broken.
