Karun Nair, Mayank Agarwal help Karnataka beat Himachal
Big knocks from Karun Nair and Mayank Agarwal helped Karnataka beat Himachal Pradesh by 10 wickets in their Col. CK Nayudu U-25 Elite Group A tie at Bengaluru.
HP posted a first innings total of 296, helped by Nikhil Gangta’s 129. Karnataka piled up a total of 476 before they were bowled out on Day 3 of the 4 day game. Their total was built around a knock of 156 from skipper Karun Nair (231b, 4x17, 6x5) and 91 from Mayank Agarwal (107b, 4x19) and helped the side take a healthy 180 run first innings lead.
A 5 wicket haul from Adithya Sagar saw HP being bowled out for 255 in their second innings, setting Karnataka a target of 76. Agarwal scored a brisk 40* in response as Karnataka posted 79/0 in 16.2 overs, sealing a 10 wicket win.
