Kohli, Gayle in T20 Team of the Tournament
Virat Kohli was the only Indian who could find a place in ICC’s T20 Team of the Tournament; Suresh Raina was included as the 12th man. Kolhi managed to impress with his consistent performances, his highest score of 78* came against Pakistan. RCBian Chris Gayle too made it to the team. Gayle played a vital role in West Indies’ World Twenty20 campaign. He made 222 runs in 7 matches, his highest score in the tournament was 75*.
RCBians Tillakaratne Dilshan of Sri Lanka, AB de Villiers of South Africa were also in consideration but could not make it to the final XI.
