Kohli, Zol win coveted CEAT cricket awards
RCB captain Virat Kohli was adjudged the CEAT International Cricketer of the Year in the 17th CEAT cricket awards. While he scored a healthy 359 runs for RCB in the just concluded IPL, Kohli has also been in tremendous touch in the international circuit over the last few years. The premier Indian batsman had previously won the prestigious award in the 2011-12 season.
"It's good to see an Indian (Kohli) win the main award again and that he has won it for the second time at such a young age should inspire other youngsters also to win the coveted award," said the chief adjudicator of CEAT Cricket Rating and Indian batting legend, Sunil Gavaskar.
There’s even more good news for RCB fans as our upcoming star Vijay Zol won the coveted ‘Young Player of the Year’ award. Zol remarked that it was a memorable experience for him to share the same RCB dressing-room with many great players.
Let’s hope that these two talented stroke-makers keep up the good work and make every single RCBian proud in the coming season!
