Kumble adopts a cobra
Team Royal Challengers skipper Anil Kumble not only can lead a bunch of cricketers on the field, but also in personal life, is a leader. On Wednesday, the former Indian skipper showed his passion towards protecting wildlife, when he adopted a cobra. Kumble, who is also the vice-chairman of the Karnataka State Board for Wildlife, was inaugurating a novel initiative of animal adoption at the Bannerghatta Biological Park in Bangalore.
“No amount of support is enough for this wonderful cause and adopting an animal is a great way to enrich your life. You will also contribute something back to nature,” Kumble said, according to reports. Kumble handed over a cheque for Rs.25,000 to the park authorities though the amount listed for adoption of cobra was Rs.2,500.
