According to reports BCCI has roped in Tenwic, a division of Anil Kumble Sports Pvt. Ltd., to conduct the training programme to cricketers on off-field behaviour with each session to be personally monitored by Kumble himself.

Reacting to Kumble’s initiative, BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla was quoted in a leading daily, “Kumble’s programme will cover several topics that will help our cricketers, from handling money to interacting with other players in the dressing room.” Among the topics the programme will address are handling ‘instant success’, self-sufficiency, anti-doping advice and management of finances. The programme will also make sure that cricketers learn how to speak English, handle the media during press conferences, and conduct themselves in public, according to the report.

Roping his experience and disciple will have a huge impact on players on and off the field. He is the appropriate selection for this role.

No one can match Anil, Rahul & Sachin in this.. they are true legends.. BCCI should have this program for their administration as well ( Lalit Modi on the first bench.. lol..)

@twahul-Grooming their personality along with the off/on field behaviour is quite a task thanks to the commercialization of the game. But nevertheless Kumble is a disciplinarian and commands great respect from his counterparts. We might be saved of players getting into ugly brawls.

But most of them already speak fluent English :P...Don't they? On a serious note hope this helps to curb the number of scams and scavenges our cricketers keep getting into.
