Mayank Agarwal keeps Karnataka innings alive
Mayank Agarwal’s 64* kept Karnataka A’s innings against Punjab A in their C K Nayudu Trophy Elite Group ‘A’ match (U-25) alive on Sunday at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore.
Sunday, Day 2 of the match saw Punjab being bowled out for 493 after being 310/3 overnight. Punjab medium pacer Jaskaran Singh then wreaked havoc, taking 4/29 as Karnataka faltered to 86/5.
Mayank Agarwal (64, 106b, 4x9, 6x1) and Abrar Kazi (7) added 34 for the sixth wicket, taking them to 120/5 at Stumps on Day 2. The team trails Punjab by 373 runs, with another 224 required to avoid the follow on.
