Mild concussion, but Steyn is “Super Cool”
Dale Steyn, Team Royal Challengers’ bowling mainstay is “cool”, after the nasty injury suffered during the CLT20 semi-finals. Cricket South Africa spokesperson Michael Owen-Smith confirmed to Sport24 that a scan on Steyn’s upper-body “impact” injury had come up negative, although he would visit an orthopaedic surgeon just to be sure, according to reports.

Cricket South Africa spokesperson Michael Owen-Smith confirmed to Sport24 that a scan on Steyn’s upper-body “impact” injury had come up negative, although he would visit an orthopaedic surgeon just to be sure, according to reports.
Steyn was unable to bowl in the semi-finals and it was feared that he may have done some serious harm to his head and/or neck. But Steyn assured his fans through Twitter. He wrote: “Thanx 2every1 4txts & kind words! Super cool! Suffered mild concussion & blow 2my back! Wat doesn't kill u... only ruined my weekend! Haha!”
Steyn, 27, has stayed mostly injury-free by far in his career, unusual for a paceman in this age.
