Moises Henriques to make Test debut
Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques is slated to make his Test debut against India in the first Test of the Border - Gavaskar Trophy at Chennai on February 22nd.
Henriques emerged as the all-rounder of choice for coach Mickey Arthur ahead of Glenn Maxwell after his good show in Australia’s two warm up games in Chennai.
He took 4/12 in the 2 day warm up game against the Board President’s XI, finding reverse swing and his scalps included top order batsmen Abhinav Mukund, Mandeep Singh and Ambati Rayudu.
His economy rate of 1.87 in the second game against India A set him apart, he showed great consistency to limit the scoring off his bowling and picked up the wicket of a Gautam Gambhir in full flow. When Australia batted he was one of just 4 batsmen to cross 30.
