Murali to join Melbourne Renegades
Muttiah Muralitharan has confirmed that he will play for the Melbourne Renegades in the 2012-13 edition of the Big Bash League.
Murali will join his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates Andrew McDonald and Dirk Nannes at the Melbourne Renegades where McDonald is the captain. Muralitharan played for Wellington in New Zealand’s domestic T20 competition HRV Cup last year when the inaugural Big Bash League was being played.
BBL will feature other RCB stars as well. Daniel Vettori recently extended his contract with the Brisbane Heat, signing a 3 year deal last week. Brisbane Heat also signed Luke Pomersbach on a 1 year deal, poaching him from the Perth Scorchers.
Chris Gayle represented Sydney Thunder in the 2011-12 season of the Big Bash League.
