Nic Maddinson To Miss The Rest Of IPL 7

Nic Maddinson To Miss The Rest Of IPL 7

RCB's new recruit for the season, Nic Maddinson is now out of contention for a place in the playing XI owing to a broken finger.

The 22-year old played 2 matches for RCB in the absence of West Indian veteran, Chris Gayle. However, in his 2nd match against MI, Maddinson broke a finger while fielding in the outfield. Maddinson scored 12 and 4 in his 2 innings in his debut IPL season.

Nic Maddinson is a dynamic left-hand opening batsman from New South Wales, Australia. His quick scoring has earned him the repute of a player who could make it big in the future because of the immense potential he holds.

In accordance to the IPL technical committee, RCB are allowed to sign a replacement for Maddinson from the registered players who were not picked by any other franchise in the auctions. Nathan Coulter-Nile from DD and Dwayne Bravo from CSK are also amongst the list of players who are out of this IPL season due to injuries.

Azhar Mohammed would be the best option. Your thoughts?

Blessing in disguise. If any of these players are bought now, i'm sure mr.mallya won't regret. Richard Levi, Aiden Blizzard,Martin Guptill, Farhaan Behardien or Craig Simmons all these players can be bought for 50 lakhs or less!

need a opener until Gayle returns. I say why not pick Cameron White who has been in red hot form. Can bat anywhere. Has opened batting in Big Bash League. I wold prefer him over Hales as former has more experience of playing in sub-continent.lse luke write is best option

Yes, they should pick All Rounder on whom they can trust to score few runs in all matches....Trusting on Albie to score runs is not good idea at this point of his career...

I feel they should try getting Azhar Mohammed as a replacement if it is allowed as per the rules of IPL. He is a good all-rounder, thought age and lack of competitive cricket issues, but he will suit our squad if opportunity given.
