Pankaj sizzles with 8/32

Royal Challenger Pankaj Singh flexed his bowling muscle as he captured 8/32 for Rajasthan to skittle out Tripura for a paltry 95 on the first day in the domestic Ranji Trophy league. Rajasthan already gained the first innings lead as they scored 99/3 on day 1.

Karnataka was saved on the day by a belligerent century by Stuart Binny to score 254 in their first innings on the first day against Himachal Pradesh. The Royal Challengers failed with the bat as Binny along with Amit Verma rescued Karnata with a 155 run partnership. Binny scored 109 while Verma got 76. They were the two of the four batsmen to get into double figures for Karnataka. Challenger Robin Uthappa could muster only 17 as Manish Pandey, centurion in the previous match, returned without scoring.

The Karnataka bowlers can have to come up with a sterling performance to deny Himachal from taking the first innings lead.

In other domestic matches, Wasim Jaffer remained unbeaten on 46 in Mumbai's score of 282/2 at stumps against Gujarat.
