Pujara completes 2000 first-class runs in a year
Cheteshwar Pujara's 153 against South Africa in the 1st Test was his maiden Test hundred away from home. It was also his sixth century overall.
During his marathon innings at Johannesburg that turned the game in India's favour, Pujara also passed 2000 first-class runs in 2013. It was his 5th score of 150 plus in first-class cricket. Some of his finest innings include a triple hundred (306*) for India A against West Indies A a couple of months ago.
He later scored two back-to-back hundreds, first for India and then for Saurashtra. Pujara also slammed a phenomenal double hundred (269) against Tamil Nadu, before taking off for South Africa.
