Facing a target of 411, MP succumbed to part time spinner Dharmendrasinh Jadeja (6/51) to crumble to 183 all out.
At Pune, CM Gautam’s 264 and Stuart Binny’s 168 helped Karnataka post an imposing 572/9d in their first innings. Abhimanyu Mithun scythed through Maharashtra in the first innings, taking 6/36 to bowl them out for a paltry 99, Karnataka capturing a massive 473 run first innings lead.
Harshad Khadiwale (136) and Ankit Bawne (155) made Karnataka toil the second time, taking Maharashtra to 561 before they were bowled out. Mithun’s 3 wickets in the second innings cost him 122 runs.
