Team Royal Challenger got into the act of serious business when they defeated Central Stags of New Zealand by 23 runs in the first of the practice games before the start of the Airtel Champions League T20 on September 10. Robi Uthappa's whirlwind unbeaten 53 off only 29 balls and allrounder Dillon Du Preez fantastic 4 for 9 haul paved the way for a fantastic victory.

Batting first, RC posted 172 in 20 overs. The batting clicked for Team RC as Cameron White (unbeaten 36 off 28 balls), Manish Pandey (40 off 36) and Rahul Dravid (38 off 28), all scored hefty innings to put the pressure on the Stags. RC then came back strongly in defense as Du Preez bowled a mean length and line to capture four wickets for only nine runs.

RC next plays Victoria in the last of the practice matches on the morrow.

what a win man.....awesome to see most of the batsmen clicking in this match...and always thought Du preez was under used till now...good to see him bowl like this....And SA pitches will suit all the other bowlers in the team, especially steyn is to watch out for...And fantastic innings by Robbie just after his shoulder operation.....He will be the batsmen to watchout for sure in this tournament apart from Ross, manish and Cameron in the team.....excellent.....Cameron with RCB to take on his own team, where he was a captain....a mouthwatering prospect the next warm up game :)
