England vs Australia: Second ODI
Royal Challengers sizzled with the bat in the second ODI between Australia and England. Cameron White scored a fighting 86 off 98 balls but still ended up in the losing side, while Eoin Morgan sizzled again with the bat as England scored a thumping win over Australia in the second ODI to go 2-0 up in the series.
Fresh from his century in the first encounter, Royal Challenger Morgan again shone with the bat scoring 52 off 64 balls, but more importantly shared a 83-run partnership with Paul Collingwood to lay the foundation of the second successive English victory over the Aussies.
Chasing 243, England surpassed the challenge with consummate ease with almost five overs to spare as another Royal Challenger Kevin Pietersen again got a good start scoring 33 off 38 balls but failed to capitalise.
Earlier, Stuart Broad’s heroics with the ball demolished any Australian hopes of reaching a challenging total. White’s 86 was the only saving grace for the Australians as the middle order struggled to cope up with English bowling.
