S Aravind out for four weeks with knee injury
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Karnataka medium pacer S Aravind will be out of action for 4 weeks dues to a knee injury.
S Aravind limped out of Karnataka’s Ranji Trophy match against Punjab at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. With the rest of Karnataka’s main bowlers Vinay Kumar and Aravind’s RCB partner Abhimanyu Mithun touring Australia with the Indian team, Punjab’s batsmen capitalized to put up 357 in their first innings.
Aravind’s sore right knee is the same one he had operated a few years ago which is why the bowler will be extra cautious in his treating of the injury. His returns this season have been below expectations, having taken 9 wickets at 49.44 in 5 matches.
His return is not possible before the second week of January by when the Ranji Trophy tournament semi finals stage will have begun.
