South Africa to host one-off T20I against India
South Africa and India will play a one-off T20I at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on March 30th 2012.
MS Dhoni will lead India and Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman AB de Villiers will be captaining South Africa in the game that will occur just 5 days before the IPL season 5 kicks off.
Cricket South Africa and the Board of Control for Cricket in India have agreed to make such one-off matches an annual fixture. India played SA in a similar game last year at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban which was set as a farewell tribute to Makhaya Ntini.
The match this year will honour prolific Protea allrounder and former RCBian Jacques Kallis, acknowledging his contribution to the sport in SA as player, mentor and role model.
The BCCI has declared that a first choice line up will be sent for the match which means top Indian stars such as Virat Kohli will be participating in the game.
