Sri Lanka level series 1-1
Tillakaratne Dilshan hit a quickfire 50 to cap a clinical performance from Sri Lanka in the 2nd ODI against India at Hambantota on Tuesday.
Thisara Perera’s 3/19 and Angelo Mathews’s 3/14 had earlier seen India buckle to 138 all out. Gambhir was the lone saving grace for India, adding 78 runs with the lower order and the last man out for 65.
Dilshan’s 47 ball 50 and Upul Tharanga’s 60 ball 59* saw Sri Lanka post 139/1 in just 19.5 overs. Sri Lanka levelled the series 1-1, winning the game by 9 wickets and with 181 balls to spare, their second biggest win against India in terms of deliveries remaining.
The series moves on to Colombo where the two teams will play the 3rd ODI on Saturday.
