interesting choice, though even i'm curious as to Ryder...Eventhough he wasnt all that impressive in the first 2 editions, i think he is a threatning proposition for any opposition...

Club Royal Challengers has signed on rising Australian all-rounder Steven Smith for the Indian Premier League 2010. Smith has recently made his international T20 debut for the Australian team against Pakistan in the T20 International. Many of us also remember Smith as the miserly leg-spinner and a hard hitter when he played for New South Wales in the Champions League T20 played last year in India.
In Club RC, Smith comes in as the 10th International player and joins fellow Aussie Cameron White, as well as England all-rounder Kevin Pietersen, South Africa duo Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn, Mark Boucher etc.
According to a report published in Fox News, Club RC closed the deal with the 20 year old Smith against stiff competition from Deccan Chargers and King's Punjab XI.
