South Africa vs West Indies: First Test
Dale Steyn’s inspired bowling devastated West Indies to a massive defeat in the first Test. Royal Challenger Steyn was in his elements when he took 8/94 in the match which dug the grave for West Indies.
Steyn took a fiver in the West Indies first innings to shunt them out for a paltry 102 in reply to South Africa’s first innings total of 352. South Africa then set a target of 456 runs for West Indies after declaring at 206/4 in their second innings. Steyn got into the act with his express speed and took three wickets to force the Windies bleeding and tumbling to a 163-run defeat.
Another Challenger, Jacques Kallis also put up a decent show making 28 and 40 in a match which was dominated by the Protean speedsters.
